I received confirmation yesterday from Darwin for a meet and greet to discuss the use of the house and to discuss credits and copyrights to the video when finished. We will meet this Saturday to iron out a deal so we can proceed forward. I also received an email from Miller's Paranormal Research (MPR) Team that they are ready and have given me a partial list of who will be coming...

This is so exciting, we will have everyone here that has had something to do with one of the two previous investigations. Brenda told me something very interesting that they stumbled on last time they were here, unfortunately I can't let the cat out of the bag, we are saving it for the video, But I'll give you a little hint...

MPR will be placing one Psychic upstairs and one down stairs at the same time when the residual hunting starts (Between 1:00 am and 2:00 am). There is something that happens after the main activity settles-down upstairs. they believe this happens around 5:00 am and will support the one constant that all visitors have shared who stayed there. That there is a great urgency to get out of the house. They don't know why, all they know is that they need to leave and they have to leave NOW!

My PR guy Dave Walton has been in contact with Tom Wheeler, Manager of the Iowa Film Office for the Iowa Department of Economic Development. He will be helping us to acquire needed equipment, technical support and what ever else he can possibly do to make the project First Class. He also has some contacts to get showings scheduled within Iowa to get as much exposure as possible.

It's been a little while but we have made the final agreements with the owners of the house and set a permanent date of the 19th and 20th of March. We have also made an agreement with Jeff Brown to do the sound track for the Video. Jeff has a close relationship to the house itself and has written a few songs about the house we will be featuring in the video and will make into music videos to play at the end of the movie.

I am now working on the script for the beginning of the video and trying to land some sponsors to help out with specific items such as blank tapes, some sound equipment and food for all those participating in the two-day shoot. I want to thank Barbara Stensvad (Chestnut Charm B & B) for her sponsorship in putting up three of her gorgeous rooms for the Paranormal Team. THANKS Barbara!!!

Jeff and his partner have emailed me the re-make of the "J.B. Moore Balled" it's a great song chronicling the events of the murder. Jeff and his partner are breaking down each of the instruments and vocals into separate files so I can use them as needed throughout the video. We will also be working on a music video to this song and the "Paranormal Boogie" as an added feature to the end of the video.

The other day I sent out the final ruff-draft of the script to all those involved to make sure of the correctness of the events and to get any other suggestions and ideas of what else might need to be incorporated into the video. I have had a few good comments back already and hope to have the Final Completed Script done by the end of next week. I need to get Studio 9 Productions some footage of the house and he'll start working on a teaser/trailer that we can use to start promoting the video.

NOTE! M.P.R. UPDATE: Brenda (lead investigator) has told me that Joyce (psychic) had a visit from Joe Moore, and that he told her that the whole family is waiting for them and that he will be the one who talks to them at the house this time. Brenda has also told me that the closer the date gets the more information will be given to the psychic's. So stay tuned fro more updates as we get closer to the 19th and 20th of March!

Wow! You talk about busy, sorry it has taken so long to put an update on but it's been crazy!

We have all the scripts worked out. There are three total, the main Script which is being broken down into three separate shooting elements, and one for each of the music videos.

Jeff's band is all set to be here Friday morning to start shooting on the Ballad of J.B. Moore, then later that evening we will do the Paranormal Boogie. If anyone wants to be an extra in the Paranormal Boogie we are looking for people that would like to have some fun and be a little crazy for this video. If so be at the Villisca house around 6:00 pm ready to go. You will need to sign a release form beforehand.

MPR is already and will also be arriving around 6:00. Two of their investigators are actually pulling a 24 hr shift Thursday and drive straight up. They will get here then check into the Bed & Breakfast and catch a few Z's before coming out.

Sean from Studio 9 Productions got into a major accident the other day, he's alright but a bit sore. He's resting up so he'll be ready this weekend.

We'll this will be my last update before we shoot. After the shooting is done I will post again and let everyone know how it went and share any cool stories I might have from our two nights at the house. But not enough to give away any secrets to our video!!

How it went... Well, I don't think it could have gone any better than what it did. Not only did we meet some great people, it seems that the spirits where there to interact with us as well. I'll tell you a little bit of what happened, but can't give too much away! The video will be a must see in order to get the true effect of the evenings activity.

Miller Paranormal team has put all the pieces of the puzzle together, and they are wrapping up the investigation right now. The amazing thing is that if you go back and do some research on the testimonies, the corners reports, and the possible suspects, you're going to be surprised by who actually committed the murders. Who did do it? That has been a lingering question for years, and we are going to help you find out the whom, the why, the events of the evening, and just how everything took place!

Remember that MPR did absolutely NO research on the house, or what happened, before their first visit. The information we will share with you is nothing but what they have concluded on their own, thru techniques they have developed for paranormal investigations.

Here is a quick summary of SOME events. Please note, that neither my wife nor I personally have ever had experiences with this type of thing in the past. We went with the conclusion that nothing was really going to happen, but was definitely taken by surprise. Before I go on, let me list everyone that was there Friday night so you know the who's who

Brenda Marble(lead Investigator), Dee Ann Tripses (Investigator and Webmaster), Misty Maeder (Seer & Shaker), Joyce Morgan (Psychic), Joe Pate, Stacy Pate, Sean Merryman, Ron Flory, Dave Walton, and Chris (Film Crew). Jeff Brown & Kirt Bowman (Music Group, wrote the songs "Ballad of J.B. Moore" and the "Paranormal Boogie"). They were both made into music videos on the Friday shoot, and will be featured in the movie!

Ok, here are a few things we experienced...

I was touched on the shoulder at approximately 12:30 a.m. My wife had a sensation as if someone kept pulling on her sleeve, and hair, all Friday and Saturday night. We all had a distinct smell of pipe tobacco that went systematically throughout the house, and will explain in the video how this ties to the murderer! The batteries that Jeff put into his guitar-tuner, just last month, were dead and these usually last for 2 to 3 years!!. Along with a lot of video, pictures, and audio that we are still going thru, the paranormal team has already come up with some very interesting EVP's (Electronic Voice Phenomena).

Now, for the stay-over, the following were the lucky ones who got to sleep in the house... Dave Cooperider, Missy Annen, Brian Shapiro, Holly Toomey, Derrell Cole & Kevin Kite.

First I'll tell you, we have a couple of very good screams. We will save them for the video, but they were for very good reasons!! I guess people have a tendency to scream when the closet door opens then SLAMS shut!!! Hmmm! Or how about a bed slat that's already on the floor being lifted and slammed back down???? You think you might scream? Well, I know of three people who did... and they are used to this kind of thing, LOL!!

How about the situation of the three Video Cameras, two plugged into AC, and one battery operated. Two Audio tape recorders, and one Digital still camera. All going dead within a 30-minute period, just before IT happened!! Or I could tell you about Holly's 35mm camera that she has never had a problem with since owning it, but as soon as she came within 20 feet of the house it stopped working! Or maybe the two female voices that Holly heard in the parlor! How about the song Joyce heard the two Stillinger girls singing to her in the blue room! Is it a twist of fate that it's the same song Holly chose to sing to herself, trying help calm her nerves, the following night in the kids room?? We have BOTH of these instances on video and audio, so is it a coincidence? We'll let you be the judge.

Well, that's about all I can tell you for now, we have already started editing the video and should have it complete by summer of this year. We will use our webpage here to let you know how the editing is coming, and just maybe I'll throw in a few things here and there to keep your interest.

If you have ever had an interest in the Villisca Axe Murder house, whether it is because of a story you've heard, by actually looking it up and doing research, or just by a visit to the house, this is the video that will explain it all. WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE AND WHY!!!! Paranormal research is a mystery to most, but after watching this video the majority of you will see things in a whole new "light"!

On May 17th - 20th 2004 The SciFi Channel came out to Villisca to start shooting an episode for their new series called "Proof Positive". This new series will take paranormal evidence such as we obtained with the Miller Paranormal Research Team while making our video. MPR came all the way back up for the 4th time just to shoot this segment. We are really excited because the producer was VERY intrigued with what he saw.

One of the main pieces of evidence they will be concentrating on is the picture we will present on our video as the picture of the killer himself. They have examined the picture and the negatives very closely and they do believe it's authentic. MPR also went through a re-enactment of a the residual haunting for the SciFi channel, but it ended up being more than that!!! Someone else came and visited the team during the filming and of I course can't tell you who it is yet, but when we do it puts a few more pieces in the puzzle!

SciFi will be airing the new series sometime in fall, we are told probably the end of August. As soon as we know I will post it here so everyone with an interest can watch it. Remember, the video I'm producing is based totally on the real live investigation of the Paranormal team. After watching the SciFi channel you'll know that everything in our video is TRUE and REAL.

Oh ya, one more thing... While SciFi was recording the "re-enactment" residual both of their cameras shut off, ya you know it... the batteries went dead!!!!! Ha! The producer had a very hard time believing it was caused by the house!

SciFi update... We were very disappointed to see that our footage wasn't used for the episode. The only reasoning that we can come up with is that Orbs our very easy to discount for dust partials and light refractions and the evidence we gave them was much harder if not impossible to disprove.
